Full-Time Associate, Strategic Partnerships

Job Description

Village Capital is seeking a Associate to join our growing team. The role will report
directly to senior management, and will play a key role in building new partnerships and
strategic initiatives at Village Capital.

The ideal candidate is interested in building and managing a diverse network. The
Associate must be able to write clear, concise, high-quality work under tight deadlines.
The Associate must be able to communicate the vision of Village Capital, and organize
partners into a supportive community for Village Capital’s entrepreneurs.

The Associate for Strategic Partnerships will:

• Identify, recruit, and manage the next generation of Village Capital program
partners;
• Help the Village Capital program team build communities of support for Village
Capital entrepreneurs;
• Support new partner outreach, and support entrepreneur outreach, through public
engagement (strategies such as conferences, journalism, blogging);
• Write and oversee the production of communications pieces for partners and for
public consumption;
• Organize and manage information and relationships with precision;
• Support Village Capital’s community management system for the entire team;
• Anticipate the needs of senior leadership in planning for future partnership
development.

partner’s needs and point of view.
• You are able to engage and build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors,
corporations, foundations, community leaders, and other strategic partners
• You have an outstanding ability to translate complexity into concise, intuitive
communication
• You are able to meet multiple objectives in a complex environment
• You are willing and able to travel 30+% of the time
• You have a passion for entrepreneurship and the business of community-building
• You are able to pay attention to detail and manage a complex, multi-variable
system
• You have experience or a strong desire to work in international environments.
• In a multi-stakeholder system (entrepreneur, foundation, investor)—your
preferred stakeholder is the entrepreneur.
• You’re excited about joining a growing and visionary organization. You believe
