Currently, we have a career opportunity for Clinical Faculty – Director, Social Impact Program.

About This Position

The Kellogg School seeks a strategic, collaborative and inspirational leader to serve as Clinical Faculty in Kellogg’s Social Impact Program. This is a full-time clinical faculty position with primarily administrative responsibilities. This position partners closely with Faculty Director in Kellogg’s Public-Private Initiative (KPPI) and the newly appointed Faculty Advisory Board to set the strategic direction and oversee course offerings and extra-curricular activities for all areas of the Social Impact Program (which include Impact Investing, Social Enterprise, Non-Profit Management, and International Development).

Specific Responsibilities:

Specific responsibilities of the Clinical Faculty – Social Impact Program will include:

* Facilitating new Social Impact research and collaborating within Kellogg and across Northwestern University, including groups such as (but not limited to) Institute for Sustainability and Energy at Northwestern (ISEN), The Buffett Institute, and the Center for Civic Engagement.
* Enhancing Kellogg’s reputation as an academic leader in Social Impact by disseminating faculty research, publicizing Kellogg activities, speaking and industry conferences and events, and directing media inquiries to faculty experts within the school.
* Overseeing administration and finances for all major Social Impact programs, including the annual Sustainable Investing Challenge, Young Impact Scholars program, student award funding, and Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Inspiration Days.
* Supporting students and clubs with an interest in the Social Impact area by:
– Directing to internal resources
– Counseling on course sequences within the pathway
– Serving as an advisor to student organization (such as Net Impact)
* Build, recruit, and convene an external Social Impact Network of practitioners and alumni willing to serve as a resource (or subject matter expert) to faculty and students, while providing feedback on new initiatives in the market.
* Teaching at least one MBA-level course in the Social Impact Program (subject to candidate’s field expertise).

Qualifications and Competencies:

* Advanced degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
* Proven experience and reputation in public, private, or non-profit field of Social Impact
* Proven track record of building successful partnerships with external partners
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Intellectually curious and passionate for social innovation and impact investing
* Ability to lead through influence
* Prior teaching experience preferred
