TIMESLIPS CREATIVE STORYTELLING – POSITION OPENING

Job Title: Chief Operating Officer
Start date May 1st, 2015

Summary: a 1/2 time C.O.O. – a bold, business-minded, organized, technologically savvy, and seriously skilled communicator to enact an ambitious strategic plan to make creative engagement a standard practice in long term care.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Education Requirement: B.A. or B.S. with significant business training or experience.
Experience Requirement: demonstrated experience with 1) managing budgets (projections and reports); 2) managing staff; 3) project or program management; 4) long term care systems.

Job Duties:
1. Collaborate with CEO to finalize strategic plan and identify additional grant/revenue opportunities.
2. Implement and report against strategic plan.
3. Create and report against budgets
4. Forge national and international partnerships to expand the organization’s reach and grow revenue.
5. Oversee Training Coordinator (employee) and Master Trainers (contract).
6. Oversee and improve efficiency of general operations.

Knowledge Requirements
1. Knowledge of all basic office equipment including computers, fax, cell phones, voice mail, copy machine and laser/digital printers.
2. Knowledge of Mail-Chimp, Survey Monkey, Google-docs/mail, Quickbooks and other programs as they are added to the organization.
3. Knowledge of long-term care systems and the basics of dementia care.

Skills Required
1. Ability to work with a creative thought leader.
2. Excellent verbal communications skills.
3. Excellent computer software, data base, and data organization skills.
4. Ability to remain calm when multiple demands are made on time and attention.
5. Ability to self-motivate and research and improve knowledge in a new area.

Personal Requirements
1. A calm, reasonable approach to multiple demands on time with interruptions.
2. A desire to solve problems with a team approach.
3. Integrity and honesty.
4. Ability to maintain a cheerful and pleasant manner and attitude at all times.

Compensation etc.: Begins as ½ time, with potential for additional income. Possible to work from home.
