Full-Time Creative Enterprise Manager

Job Description

The Cafédirect Producers’ Foundation (CPF) is a young, ambitious charity. We were set up by social enterprise Cafédirect plc and work with 280,000 farmers worldwide to develop innovative solutions to the daily challenges they face. In our programmes across Africa and Latin America, we aim to be innovative, entrepreneurial and participatory in everything we do. For example, we recently won the Google Impact Challenge for our pioneering work to develop and launch WeFarm as an independent social enterprise.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual with demonstrated flair for developing and making great ideas happen. The role has two main focus areas:
1. Managing, growing and launching a pipeline of creative ideas that will generate income for CPF.
2. Supporting our programme team to develop enterprise-based solutions with our smallholder partners.

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Entrepreneurial, with a can-do approach and willingness to take the initiative and leadership required to make good ideas happen, and ensure they are a success.
• Excited and motivated by the challenge of re-shaping charity fundraising, and delivering ambitious six-figure income targets
• Creative and full of ideas – can you come up with the next Million Dollar Pixel Homepage or One Red Paperclip?
• Experienced, with a proven track record in generating income through enterprise – including developing ‘bottom of the pyramid’ business models
• A clear and engaging communicator, capable of delivering successful crowd-funding and awareness raising campaigns
• Passionate about CPF’s model and approach.
• Willing to try things, fail fast and learn
• A self-starter, comfortable working in a small, fast-paced team

Specific tasks will include:
• Managing and expanding CPF’s Innovation pipeline – working with CPF team members to develop, test and deliver ideas that will support fundraising and programme development.
• Developing and managing creative ideas and/or business models to enhance CPF’s short- and long-term income streams.
• Analysing the business case and potential ‘Return on Investment’ of revenue generation ideas
• Leading the launch and scaling-out of successful ideas.
• Work with CPF’s programme team and farmer organisations to support the development of micro-enterprises to support farmers diversify and enhance their income
• Launching and delivering successful crowd-funding and awareness raising campaigns

What we can offer
• Salary range: £27,500 – £34,500 per annum plus additional benefits package. (Salary level commensurate with experience).
• Full- or part-time working options negotiable.
