Dimagi is an award-winning, socially-conscious global technology company that helps organizations deliver quality health care and other frontline services to urban and rural communities in over 30 countries. Our team of exceptional software developers, engineers, public health experts and development practitioners apply their experience to further personal and public health and well-being around the world. Our India Office has a diverse and vibrant staff of 25 people who work directly with partners and frontline workers in 17 states across the country and beyond, on the design and implementation of mobile technology systems that are impactful, relevant, and integrated into their programs.

Job Description
Dimagi is looking for a Development & Partnerships Manager to support our partnerships and growing work in India and elsewhere in Asia. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurial and eager to develop innovative collaborations with organizations large and small to promote service delivery in under-served rural and urban communities.

In this position, you will regularly interact with a wide range of stakeholders including NGOs, social enterprises, funding agencies, and other organizations working in a wide variety of sectors including health, agriculture, and education. Your work will include identifying potential opportunities for collaboration and brainstorming with partner organizations on how mobile technology can be adapted to support their needs and initiatives. You will join our global team of field staff and share lessons learned and expertise from around the world. Responsibilities include:
• Managing client relationships end-to-end
• Networking and building relationships with partner agencies
• Writing applications, concept notes, proposals, and statements of work defining the contours of new partnerships
• Designing and preparing communications materials
• Conducting research and market analysis of the operating environment.
• Helping grassroots organizations use our self-service tools to build their own mobile apps
• Tracking partnerships in our internal systems
• As part of staying connected to the field and to the communities and frontline workers whom we serve, you will also spend a portion of your time traveling to field sites and supporting project implementation, seeing what services we provide and how our tools are being used in practice

Over time, you will also take on the following responsibilities:
• Leading outreach to other countries in Asia e.g. Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka
• Driving expansion in other sectors, such as agriculture, gender empowerment, and education
• Managing high level partnerships
• Delivering presentations and participating in panels where we share our experiences and lessons learned with the development and ICT4D communities to promote mutual learning and innovation
• Guiding other Dimagi staff in managing client relationships
• Informing and helping define Dimagi India’s strategy for achieving impact in Asia, in terms of the kinds of partnerships that we build, our business model and path for growth, and the kinds of strategic initiatives that we push forward

Skills & Position Requirements & Qualifications

The ideal candidate has the following qualities:
• At least 3 – 5 years of work experience or equivalent education
• Enjoys building relationships and brainstorming with partners about solutions that will strengthen their social sector programs
• Possesses outstanding oral and written communication skills
• Extremely reliable and self-directed
• Able to juggle many, many things at once and OK with a fluid schedule
• Strong ability to think on his or her feet and adapt to the dynamics of a given situation in an agile manner
• Ability to think outside of the box
• Fluent in oral and written English
• Passionate about creating impact in underserved communities, in line with Dimagi’s mission and values

The following are additional strong pluses:
• Fluency in Hindi or other Indian languages is strongly preferred but not required.
• A background in technology is a strong plus. A background in health, M&E, or other development sectors is also a plus.

The Development & Partnerships Manager will receive a salary of 7.64 L and all business travel will be reimbursed. This position will see a significant salary increase in their second year. Dimagi is very flexible in terms of growth and career progression, and is often able to accommodate people’s interests in defining their current and future roles. We require a 2 year commitment, though employment is conditional upon our at-will employment agreement. The position is based in New Delhi. The position will also include at least one international trip in the first year.
