• Annually create a development plan and projections for fundraising, and report quarterly to the Finance Committee and the Board of Directors on anticipated fundraising results.
• Identify potential new sources of general, family (or “closely held”) foundation, and corporate funding.
• Conduct a specified number of personal visits and solicitations during the year, with defined fundraising goals and expectations.
• Oversee donor database (FileMaker).
• Regularly update Board members on gifts received from their personal contacts.
• Create and implement a strategic communications plan for development including brochures, newsletters, direct mail, advertising, website content, e-blasts, seminars, and events to encourage major and planned gift inquiries and completed gifts.
• Serve as a helpful colleague within SFFCM’s small staff, and as an admirable ambassador in relationships throughout the community.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director
