Full-Time Director of Global Partnerships

Job Description

Village Capital is seeking a Director of Global Partnerships to join our growing team.

The Director of Global Partnerships is responsible for the success of partners who want
to integrate into Village Capital’s global community. This role requires a passionate,
outgoing, and experienced executive who wants to help make our current partners reach
their objectives in engagement with the Village Capital community, and identify, recruit,
and manage the next generation of partners for Village Capital and our entrepreneurs.

The Director of Global Partnerships will:

• Understand the critical gaps and needs both among Village Capital partners, and
within the sectors in which Village Capital operates.
• Help the Global Programs team build outstanding programs and recruit the best
possible entrepreneurs.
• Identify, recruit, and manage the next generation of program partners.
• Closely communicate with current partners owning the business relationship to
ensure success.
• Understand the next generation of entrepreneurship development globally,
identifying anomalies and opportunities for Village Capital and our entrepreneurs
to succeed.
• Lead new partner outreach, and support entrepreneur outreach, through public
engagement (strategies such as conferences, journalism, blogging).
• Write and oversee the production of communications pieces for partners and for
public consumption;
• Oversee Village Capital’s customer relationship management system and team.

Requirements:
• You are able to engage and build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors,
corporations, foundations, community leaders, and other strategic partners
• You have an outstanding ability to translate complexity into concise, intuitive
communication
• You are able to meet multiple objectives in a complex environment
• You are willing and able to travel 30+% of the time
• You have a passion for entrepreneurship and the business of community-building
• You are able to pay attention to detail and manage a complex, multi-variable
system.
• You are always thinking about “what’s next” and “who else should we involve.”
You’re also always seeking to include people who feel left out.
• You give before you get. You can think of lots of valuable introductions you have
made for other people and favors you have done un-asked.
• You have experience or strong desire to work in international environments.
• In a multi-stakeholder system (entrepreneur, foundation, investor)—your
preferred stakeholder is the entrepreneur.
