Director of Social Enterprises

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree plus 3-5 years social enterprise experience, MBA preferred.
• Entrepreneurial – can spot opportunities
• Experience starting or running a social enterprise
• Understanding best practices in the field of Social Enterprise
• Strong skills in business planning, marketing, operations
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in fast –paced, deadline driven environment
• Excellent organization skills demonstrating strong attention to detail
• High degree of professionalism, initiative and a motivated self-starter

POSITION PURPOSE- Create and support Help Group social enterprises designed to provide vocational training for teens and young adults with ASD, ADHD and LD and earn income for the programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take an active role in the operations of all Help Group social enterprises
• Implement approved initiatives that are intended to become social enterprises
• Help identify social enterprise opportunities through formal and informal needs assessment
• Develop and monitor vocational training programs for all Help Group social enterprises
• Continuously refine the business plan/financial model with lessons learned from actual operations
• Develop the operations for the social enterprises focusing on optimizing financial metrics, customer satisfaction, internal business processes, and employee (participant) growth
• Profit and loss responsibility for the enterprise’s
• Strong IT skills
• Ensure that the agency’s philosophy, values and mission are consistently applied
