Full-Time Intake Coordinator

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit organization of its kind in the United States serving adolescents and young adults with special needs related to autism, Asperger’s disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, mental retardation, abuse and emotional problems.

We are currently seeking a full-time Intake Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish) for our Outpatient Program in Culver City. The Intake Coordinator performs a wide range of duties including assessment of caller’s inquiries, professional coordination, providing community relations, and maintaining effective interpersonal communication within Outpatient Department and agency as a whole.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s level degree, minimum of two years experience in clinical interviewing,
• Ability to coordinate and manage program
• Strong leadership skills
• Fluency in Spanish highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Appropriately responds to and triages calls received in the Intake Department.
• Screens callers for eligibility to determine criteria for appropriate services while coordinating with HGCFC Billing Department and Quality Assurance Department to verify Medi-Cal and financial eligibility for new clients.
• Reconciles and maintains referral/waiting list.
• Participates and assists in facilitating weekly intake meeting and consults with Outpatient Clinical Supervisors regarding appropriate case assignments.
• Enters all Requests for MHS in electronic record keeping system.
• Prepares case assignment packets and tracks new client case dispositions.
• Prepares annual reports to include demographics and all pertinent information.
• Attends meetings, acts as liaison, and generates reports for contracting entities.
• Maintains and implements procedures related to Intake process in accordance with DMH policies.
• Responds to all Electronic Requests for MHS in a timely manner.
