Title: Local Food Distribution Coordinator
Program: UFI Farm Micro-Enterprise Development Program
Office location: 1650 8th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25703
Reports to: Local Food Business Program Director; UFI Executive Director
Annual Salary: $24,000

Type of Position: Full Time

Working under the direction of the Local Food Business Director, the Local Food Distribution Coordinator will be required to perform extensive cold calling to:
• Develop partnerships with food entrepreneurs
• Develop relationships with regional buyers
• Coordinate deliveries and back-hauling opportunities
• Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations
• Promote 30 Mile Meal Huntington as a brand
• Assist with implementation of an online food ordering system
• Perform other activities as directed to help grow the local food system in our region

*** This is a 2 year grant funded position***

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Cold calling experience with proven results
• Marketing experience in the food industry is preferred
• Effective salesperson who is able to articulate the value of the services offered and committed to exceeding client’s expectations
• Detail-oriented and numbers-oriented
• Experience with logistics and scheduling
