Job Description:
The Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation at ASU is a dynamic and fast-paced working environment with a small team of mission-driven and collaborative colleagues. The Manager of Partner Relations coordinates and manages all partner relations functions of the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation. He or she develops and maintains professional relationships throughout the University, as well as with local and national communities to promote entrepreneurship and innovation and to advance the goals of the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation.

Essential Duties:
•Manages the operation and execution of the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation’s partner strategies.
•Collaborates with the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation leadership team to develop partnerships with local, regional and national partners.
•Promotes and communicates the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation’s goals and objectives.
•Researches and identifies prospective partners that can strategically advance goals of the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation, including programmatic goals and goals identified by the leadership team.
•Implements outreach communication to prospective partners and creates communication processes to steward current partners.
•Works collaboratively with the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation communication team to manage partner relations communication projects, ensuring consistency in language and design of all partner communication efforts.
•Works collaboratively with the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation administrative support team to plan and host events, meetings and campus/city visits to cultivate and steward prospective and current partners.
•Maintains records of partnership outreach, including partner database; initiates and prepares administrative reports and documents.
•Acts as liaison with the community, students, faculty, and staff to triage inquiries and connect them with appropriate University programs.
•Supervises, trains, and evaluates assigned staff.
•Represents the Office of Entrepreneurship + Innovation and serves on assigned committees; serves as a representative of the Office at state, regional and national organizations, boards, councils and committees as assigned.
•Develops work plans in accordance with established objectives and funding limitations.
•Recommends and monitors compliance with University policies and procedures.
•Communicates with other University staff and administrators; resolves or assists with the resolution of sensitive issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND five (5) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Nine (9) years of related administrative experience, which includes three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications:
•Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of the following areas: entrepreneurship and innovation and/or economic development.
•Demonstrated knowledge of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area, including organizations and leaders in entrepreneurship and innovation.
•Demonstrated knowledge of community/partner relations and/or public relations and/or business development practices.
•Experience in forging and stewarding relationships and partnerships.
•Experience in public speaking, written communication (including reports, proposals, newsletters and other documents) and interpersonal communication.
•Experience in event leadership, including attention to detail and organizational skill.
•Experience in developing and executing streamlined partner relations processes and tracking procedures to enhance efficiency of partner relations at scale.
•Experience in identifying, tracking and following local, regional and national news and current events in entrepreneurship and innovation.
•Experience in thinking outside the box about partnerships as they relate to University programs and entrepreneurship and innovation.

Working Environment:
•Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%)
•Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%)
•Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts
•Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
•Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.;
•This position receives and provides managerial review of objectives.
•This position provides supervision of staff for completion of project/program related tasks as needed.
