Full-Time Regional Manager

Welcoming America is a national, award-winning nonprofit that helps communities across the country reach their full economic and social potential by becoming welcoming towards all their residents, including immigrants. Welcoming America brings together a broad network of non-profits and local governments from across the U.S. and strengthens their work with the know-how, tools and incentives they need to transform their communities.

We have an immediate need for a talented Regional Manager! Headquartered 15 minutes outside of Atlanta, we are a “roll up your sleeves” social enterprise with team members who are committed to our mission. Because this is a regional position, the incumbent can work remotely; preferably in MI, IA,IL,IN,MN,MO,OH,NY,PA, or WI.

In this role, you serve as the main point of contact for Welcoming America’s regional membership cohorts in the Rust Belt and Southeast regions of the United States.

• Responsibilities will include oversight of: Member Services; Network Strategy and Operations; Outreach and Education.
• This position will work closely with Welcoming America and Global Detroit on the day-to-day coordination of the WE Global Network. The WE Global Network is a network of economic and community development initiatives across the Rust Belt that welcomes, retains, and empowers immigrant and refugee communities as valued contributors to the region’s shared prosperity.
• In addition, the Regional Manager will help to develop a Southeastern regional membership cohort for Welcoming America members.
We are looking for someone who has at least three years of professional experience in nonprofit, local government, project management or network building-related work. Candidates who have worked in the fields of economic development and/or immigrant integration will receive additional consideration.
• A Bachelor’s degree, particularly in political science, public policy, business, economics or related field is required.
• The ideal candidate will possess cultural competency and experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate project management and program coordination capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are a must. Multi-lingual skills are a plus.
• To be successful, you must a team-player, with the ability to plan and implement collaborative work that requires individual responsibility.
• A willingness and ability to travel is required.
