RESIDENTIAL COUNSELORS – P6 TRANSITIONAL

The Help Group is actively seeking RESIDENTIAL COUNSELORS – P6 TRANSITIONAL to join our dynamic team.

Founded in 1975, The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive nonprofit of its kind in the United States serving children with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse and emotional problems.

Our mission is to assist young people in gaining the comprehensive skills necessary to successfully reintegrate into their local school, community and family home. Project Six/The Commons treats adolescents with a variety of diagnoses, social-emotional and behavioral needs within a nurturing environment, where positive and constructive feedback is integrated into a structured daily schedule.

Our Residential Counselors play an integral role in creating this therapeutic environment in which our adolescents can heal, grow, and belong.

Requirements:
• BA in psychology, social work, public health, or other related disciplines.
• Experience working with adolescents with social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Experience with behavioral intervention preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience;
• Good driving record and the ability to be insured by the agency insurer. Must have less than 2 points on license.
• Must clear CA fingerprinting background check.
