You will be joining the multi-disciplinary team of Friends-International (FI) comprised of over 600 professionals committed to creating innovative social service for youth, children and families worldwide.
What will you do?
As a Sales and Marketing Advisor your mission will be to work closely with our social business teams and build their capacity.
This includes developing and implementing sales and marketing plans aiming at maximizing sales and profitability of Kaliyan Mith program’s social businesses:
• Marum, the vocational training restaurant
• Shop outlets selling accessories made in home-based productions
• Phka Kravan, a beauty vocational training shop
• Motor mechanic training garage
Your responsibilities will include the following:
• Work on maximizing sales and profitability of existing social businesses, with Marum being the main focus!
• Provide ongoing support and build capacity of the local Social Business team
• Maintain consistent relationships with existing partners and expand partner network
• Ensure all social businesses have necessary and up-to-date communication and marketing materials
• Develop and improve visibility of the businesses through media coverage
• Support the team in analyzing sales and customers data/feedback and derive recommendations
• Coordinate market research, surveys and benchmarks based on program needs
• Identify new sales development opportunities for the program
About you:
• You have excellent knowledge of how businesses work and ideally you have experience in running or working for a successful hospitality business
• Your experience in hospitality/restaurant business would be a PLUS!
• You are passionate about marketing and communication – you love to understand evolving trends and adapt to them in your way of approaching and dealing with customers
• You are a dynamic leader with a strong innovative business mindset able to bring positive change within a social business framework
• You enjoy working with local teams and building their capacity
• You are skilled with computers, spreadsheets and presentations, and can understand the magic of social media
• Your written English is superb
You will be our full time staff based in Siem Reap.
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences.

Back in 2005 we started Kaliyan Mith Siem Reap program that runs a holistic social reintegration program for children and youth. These services are supported by our social businesses allowing us to reduce our donor dependency and increase our financial sustainability.
We drive an innovative network of government and non-government organizations working together to solve the problems children and youth face worldwide. The objective is to significantly improve the quality and impact of services to marginalized urban children and youth and related groups through an effective network of internationally recognized organizations. We have developed a holistic social integration cycle that is based on individual and community needs to achieve best practice methods directly or in collaboration with partners.
