Job description:
Seeking an individual who fully believes in the mission and vision of Lion’s Thread and is willing to broker connections with schools, retail stores, boutiques, individuals and online stores to sell as many bow ties as humanly possible.

Lion’s Thread:
Lion’s Thread produces high quality and unique bow ties, hand-crafted in rural Uganda. We believe that men want to look good. We give them the chance to make that happen while also investing in empowerment opportunities for our women across the globe in Iganga, Uganda.

Each tie tells a story of not only an empowered women hand crafting bold neckwear, but also the story of John sinking the business deal or Steve asking out THE girl and her responding, “You were only average before, but wow—that tie. Let’s do this.” We believe in bow ties with a social punch. Now, crush life better and wear Lion’s Thread.

Qualifications and Abilities:
● Self-initiative and the demonstrated ability to be adaptable, flexible, and solve problems
● Passionate about Lion’s Thread’s mission
● Sound interpersonal skills, good judgment, and trustworthiness
● Ability to perform well under time crunch
● Ability to effectively hit target numbers
● Skills in effective communication to both customers and team members
● Experience in the design and production sectors of fashion is preferred
● Ability to work within and determine quality control on aforementioned products

Desirable qualifications:
● Sales Experience
● Retail Experience
● Strategic planning experience

Salary:
We pay on commission for this position. Our entire state-side team, including the co-founders, is not taking a salary. We are still in the start-up phase of this company. That being said, we want to have the best and brightest person on our team to man this position. We will offer the sales rep a $6 (retail) and $5 (wholesale) commission for each tie sold.
This position is intended to be part-time.
