Grants Data Specialist Position:
Responsible for activities related to the management of grantmaking systems critical to the Foundation’s day-to-day grantmaking as follows:

• Serve as a contact for Foundation staff on day-to-day grantmaking systems support including general questions, troubleshooting, and issue tracking. Identify issues requiring IT assistance and work with IT and others to resolve the issues in a timely manner.
• Assist with development and maintenance of grantmaking system resources and staff trainings
• Coordinate and test grantmaking system updates
• Monitor and ensure on-going data integrity of grantmaking systems
• Respond to requests for grantmaking data, data analysis, and reporting
• Contribute to the development and implementation of future enhancements to grantmaking system
• Undertake special assignments and/or research projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of relevant work experience
• Strong analytical skills, excellent judgment, and attention to detail and accuracy
• Demonstrated experience with data analysis
• Demonstrated experience with technical aspects of database and document sharing applications
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent written and oral communication with demonstrated positive customer service skills
• Ability to respond to a high volume of requests and resolve issues effectively and efficiently
• Experience with training (in-person and creating written materials)
• Excellent Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook skills
• Familiarity with current technology and technology trends in grantmaking
• Adept at collaborating with others within a team-based environment
• Ability to protect information of a sensitive and confidential nature
• Sense of humor and ability to work under pressure with grace

Physical Requirements
Candidate must have the ability to communicate via voice telephone, read and understand written communication, and generate written communication manually and using a computer. Candidate must also have the ability to sit at a desk for 2-3 hours at a time, lift and move documents and supplies not to exceed 25 lbs., and bend to file and retrieve documents.

Assignment Duration
The position will be payrolled through an external company. It is expected that the temporary assignment will be from April – December 2016. The position is located in downtown Los Altos, CA. It is temporary, full-time, and nonexempt.
