Pioneer Human Services seeks a Vice President of Clinical Services with substance abuse and mental health treatment experience to be their chief behavioral health and clinical officer. The Vice President provides clinical oversight, supervision, leadership, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance for Pioneer’s behavioral health programs in order to provide the best possible outcomes for Pioneer’s clients and the communities they serve. The position manages four direct reports and 60 others indirectly.

The Vice President of Clinical Services oversees Pioneer’s behavioral health and medically related services to insure quality outcomes using the most appropriate evidence based practices for the criminally justice involved client in concert with support services from other Pioneer divisions and community partners. The Vice President will provide strategic leadership in the transition of Pioneer’s state oriented, substance abuse centered service model to a regionally based behavioral health service model focused on the recovery and treatment needs of the criminally justice involved client.

Qualifications

Demonstrated clinical competence and an understanding of behavioral health innovation, integration, and health care reform is essential. Ten years of clinical experience and five years of progressive supervisory experience required, as is experience in local, state, and national health care funding policies, rules, regulations, and formulas. Experience with criminally justice involved populations is ideal. Licensed Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Professional required, ideally in the State of Washington. A master’s or doctoral degree in mental health counseling or a behavioral science master’s or doctoral degree in a field relating to mental health counseling required.
