Next Step Living is a socially-conscious, environmentally focused, results-driven company dedicated to helping our customers reduce their carbon footprint, lower their energy bills, and increase the comfort of their homes. We are looking for motivated and talented communicators to help us grow the clean energy economy. Our Neighborhood Marketing team partners with community organizations to directly reach out to targeted homeowners and connect them to programs that can help save energy, reduce bills and benefit the environment. Neighborhood Marketing Representatives go door-to-door as part of these coordinated campaigns to help targeted homeowners take action by signing them up for low-cost home energy assessments.
This is an entry-level position with a growing energy efficiency company; there are many opportunities for advancement and professional growth. There are full-time and part-time positions; full-time Neighborhood Marketing Representatives work 5 days per week including one weekend day and part-time Representatives work 3 days per week including one weekend day. The full-time position is benefits-eligible.

Responsibilities:
Educate homeowners about the benefits of Next Step Living’s energy solutions and inspire them to act
Learn and implement scripting techniques in the field
Obtain qualified leads and referrals from homeowners through targeted door-to-door outreach
Provide any necessary feedback that will assist with our canvassing campaign strategy
Requirements:
Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time and be available to work weekends
Must pass pre-employment criminal background check
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Punctuality: consistently arrive for shifts on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
Ability to represent Next Step Living in a friendly and professional manner in a wide variety of communities and to diverse audiences
A strong passion for energy efficiency and the ability to communicate that to others
Goal-oriented and comfortable working toward quotas
Organized problem solver with a sense of humor and ability to roll with punches
Attention to detail: Occasional paperwork and data entry must be completed accurately
Ability to quickly adjust to changing circumstances and technologies and learn new techniques and program guidelines when necessary, and apply those trainings to day-to-day operations
